Thomas Collins, Earl of Claymore is still grieving his beloved wife Estelle when he gets a request to seduce a young lady. Prior to Estelle, Thomas had a reputation for training frigid wives and mistresses in the art and enjoyment of sex. Lady Catherine Spencer has been given to the Duke of Wallingford to cover her father’s debts. Catherine has no love for the Duke yet doesn’t understand why someone would kidnap her. Thomas has to prepare Catherine to enjoy the taste of the Duke in less than a month without taking her virginity.

Restraint is a very enjoyable book set in 1848 England. Thomas was a very enjoyable character; while trying to keep the memory of his beloved Estelle alive he began to heal without realizing it because of Catherine. Thomas began to fall in love with his pupil. Catherine was a pleasant surprise, not acting the scared virgin I had imagined. She understood her sexuality and realized it only took the right man to open her up. Restraint is a beautiful story of unexpected love. The sexual interaction was very hot and steamy without the actual sex. Beware, there was some bondage, blindfold, and anal play. Some may be turned off by the kidnapping scene. The storyline was very good, with no bumps. For a quick ‘get me ready’ my better half highly recommends Restraint.
